BETH MILLER RYAN knew she loved music when she started
performing at the age of four with her nursery school ensemble. She went on to
sing (and study music and music history) at The College of William and Mary in Virginia, The Manhattan School of Music and New York University. She is
very pleased to be making her first appearance with Young Vic this season. Past
roles in Gilbert and Sullivan include Celia in Iolanthe, Pitti Sing in Mikado,
Mad Margaret in Ruddigore and Angelina in Trial by Jury.
Beth has performed as soloist with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Concert Artists of Baltimore, the Baltimore Symphony Pops, the Columbia University Collegium Musicum, the Towson University Early Music Ensemble and The St. Cecilia Chamber Chorus. She has presented concerts throughout the region including appearances at Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg, VA, Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue and Saint Ignatius Loyola in New York City, and on the concert series at Second Presbyterian, The Cathedral Church of St. Matthew, Charlestown, and University Baptist Church in Baltimore. Beth sings regularly with the Baltimore Opera Chorus, Concert Artists of Baltimore and the Baltimore Choral Arts Society. When she’s not singing, Beth works as a major gift officer with the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation.
